X is offering selected creators a flat bonus to start posting their own videos more consistently.
A new Video Kickstart Bonus appearing in Creator Studio asks invited creators to publish 15 original videos on at least 15 different days within a 30-day period. Screenshots shared by creators show offers of $1,500 and $5,000, with an enrollment deadline of October 30, 2026.
The pitch removes one of the biggest uncertainties in platform payouts: performance. The offer states there are no performance requirements, and creators can use videos they have already published elsewhere, as long as the videos are their own.
Alongside the payment, X is advertising a fast-track to Original Content Rewards, its ongoing creator monetization program. Some invitations reportedly include a free year of Premium+.
What creators are reporting
Creator Ashni shared a $1,500 invitation on October 15, citing guaranteed pay, a monetization fast-track and a year of Premium+.
AlphaFox separately reported offers ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, describing the program as a selective rollout.
The screenshots attach different payment amounts to the same posting commitment. That suggests the offer varies by account, though nothing reviewed so far explains how X sets each creator's bonus.
Detail | What the offers show |
|---|---|
Bonus | $1,500 and $5,000 in separate screenshots |
Videos required | 15 of the creator's own original videos |
Posting schedule | At least 15 different days within 30 days |
Performance targets | None stated |
Existing videos | Previously published videos count if they belong to the creator |
Additional benefit | Fast-track to Original Content Rewards |
Enrollment deadline | October 30, 2026 |
Posting all 15 videos in one day would not meet the displayed requirement. The challenge rewards a sustained posting schedule, not a content dump.
Who can join?
Access appears to be invite-only. Creators can check Creator Studio → Programs for an offer labeled Video Kickstart Bonus.
If an invitation appears, the amount and terms shown in that account are the offer that applies. If it doesn't appear, these reports don't point to any other way to apply.
As of October 16, we have not found a dedicated public help page or application form. Selection criteria and country availability remain unclear.
Before enrolling, creators should check three things in their own invitation:
When the 30-day posting window starts, and whether it begins at enrollment or on a fixed date
What counts as a qualifying video, including any length or format rules
When the bonus is paid, and whether payment depends on a review after the 30 days
The October 30 enrollment deadline is not the deadline for finishing the challenge. Those are separate dates.
What does the monetization fast-track mean?
The fast-track could be worth more than the bonus itself, because the standard route into Original Content Rewards is steep. The offer links the video challenge to Original Content Rewards, the program X launched on September 8 to replace Creator Revenue Sharing.
Under the standard rules, creators need at least 500 verified followers and 500,000 Home Timeline impressions from verified users over the previous 90 days, plus an eligible Premium subscription. Even then, X reviews each application, and meeting the thresholds doesn't guarantee acceptance.
For a creator still short of those numbers, skipping part of that path would mean ongoing earnings months sooner. The Premium+ year some invitations include would also cover the subscription requirement for that period.
But "fast-track" needs careful reading. The screenshots don't say which requirements are waived, whether a separate review still applies, or when access begins. Creators should confirm those details in their invitation's terms before treating completion as guaranteed admission.
One more point to check: Original Content Rewards excludes reuploads and recycled material, while the Kickstart offer accepts videos already published elsewhere. Those rules likely target other people's content, but creators reposting their own back catalogue should confirm those videos will also earn once they're in the program.
How Original Content Rewards works
Original Content Rewards pays creators for qualified impressions on content they made, not for raw engagement. X announced it on August 7 as a reset of Creator Revenue Sharing, which had become associated with engagement bait and recycled posts. The old program stopped generating earnings on September 7, and the new one began rolling out the next day.
What earns. A qualified impression is a unique Home Timeline view from a Premium user, with at least half the post visible. Paid, fraudulent and artificial impressions don't count.
What qualifies as original. Reporting, commentary, analysis, writing, photography, video, memes and graphics can all qualify. Reactions and commentary on someone else's post count when the creator adds their own perspective. Reuploads, light edits, new captions and automated content don't.
What gets a post excluded. Repeatedly asking followers to like, repost or bookmark is prohibited. Posts that receive a helpful Community Note become ineligible for payouts.
Requirement | Standard route |
|---|---|
Age | 18 or older |
Location | A country where the program is available |
Subscription | Eligible X Premium tier |
Verified followers | At least 500 |
Impressions | 500,000 Home Timeline impressions from verified users in the last 90 days |
Posting | Regular original content |
Account status | Good standing, monetization not paused |
Approval | Application through Creator Studio, reviewed by X |
Payouts arrive every two weeks, with a listed minimum of $30. Creators outside the US are paid through Stripe; US creators are paid through X Money.
X has not published per-impression rates, so there's no reliable way to estimate what a fast-tracked creator would earn after the bonus. For most accounts, the guaranteed $1,500 or $5,000 is the known number; ongoing rewards depend on how many Premium users see their videos.
Should creators take the offer?
For creators who already make video, the Kickstart Bonus is close to guaranteed money for work they'd likely do anyway. With no performance targets and back-catalogue videos allowed, the main cost is the discipline of posting on 15 separate days.
The bigger signal is strategic. X is paying upfront to build a habit of original video on the platform, and tying that habit to its new monetization program. For creators weighing where to put their video effort, that's a sign X wants native video badly enough to fund it.
The open questions are in the fine print: when the 30 days start, when the bonus pays out, and what the fast-track actually skips. Creators who receive an invitation should read those terms in Creator Studio before the October 30 enrollment deadline.
